Your license

Solen costs €5 as a one-time purchase for use on two Macs. A license unlocks full-screen Boost. There is no subscription or recurring charge. Checkout shows the final amount and any applicable taxes before you pay.

Keep your license key private. You can deactivate a Mac in Solen’s license window to free an activation slot for another Mac.

The free demo

The demo applies Boost to half of your display and has no time limit. Try it on your Mac before buying a license to see how it works in your usual environment.

Compatibility and brightness

Solen requires macOS 14 or later and an Apple silicon Mac. Boost is designed for the built-in Liquid Retina XDR display in 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro and non-XDR displays do not support Boost.

Available brightness depends on your display, power settings, temperature and screen content. Higher brightness uses more power. Solen works within the brightness headroom macOS makes available.

Activation and offline use

An internet connection is needed to buy and activate a license. Solen refreshes an active license periodically and works offline for up to 30 days after its last successful refresh. Reconnect before that period ends to keep full-screen Boost active.

A fully refunded purchase no longer provides an active license. The free half-screen demo remains available.

Downloads and installation

Download Solen from this website. Open the download, move Solen into Applications and launch it from there. Its controls are in the sun icon in your Mac’s menu bar.

Purchase help

For help with an order, license or refund request, reply to your Solen license email. These terms do not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
